Introduction to Provincial Government
The Provincial Government is the Office of the Chief Minister, and the Council of Ministers is the main administrative body of this province, which has the beautiful tourist city of Pokhara as its capital. In line with the constitutional responsibilities and citizen expectations, this office is active in the direction of improving the living standards of the citizens of the province through the development of peace and order in the province and good governance. The political leadership of this office is the Chief Minister, and the administrative leadership is carried out by a special rank officer of the Government of Nepal as the Chief Secretary. The Provincial Government (Division of Work) Regulations, 2074 BS have set the responsibilities of this office. This office, which is responsible for formulating laws and regulations necessary for the operation of the provincial government, implementing planned development programs, coordinating and exchanging cooperation with the Government of Nepal and the local level, etc., manages the issues presented to the Council of Ministers, monitors, evaluates and gives directions to administrative activities, and performs other tasks as per the Constitution and the Provincial Government (Division of Work) Regulations.
