Introduction to Karnali Provincial Assembly
The Karnali Provincial Assembly is the legislative Division per the Parliamentary System of Democratic Governance at the Subnational Level, also known as the Provincial Level in Nepal. The Karnali Provincial Assembly has a total of 40 honorable members, 24 from the first past the post electoral system and 16 from the proportional electoral system. In the second term of the Karnali Provincial Assembly, a total of 40 honorable members were represented in the Karnali Provincial Assembly, including 14 members from the Nepali Congress, 13 from the CPN (Maoist Center), 10 from the CPN (UML), 1 from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, 1 from the CPN (Unified Socialist Party), and 1 from the Independent. The Honorable Mr. Nanda Gurung is the Speaker, and the Honorable Mr. Yasoda Neupane is the Deputy Speaker in the second term of the Karnali Provincial Assembly. This province has been formed by encompassing 10 districts, including Humla , Mugu , Jumla , Dolpa , Kalikot , Dailekh , Jajarkot , Rukum West , Salyan, and Surkhet, with Surkhet as its capital.
